Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in 1964,

 

Studied plastic arts at Pedro Henríquez Ureña University (UNPHU), under the direction of the teacher Prats Ventos and then four years with the Master Guillo Pérez. 

 

His work are in several collections in countries such as: Germany, Austria, Belgium, Cambodia, Colombia, Denmark, Spain, United States, France, Finland, Greece, Honduras, Italy, Luxembourg, United Kingdom, Sweden and Tanzania.

 

Marcos Guerra's work is rich in diversity, both for the materials and the techniques he uses. His work has evolved around arcane symbology, through which he exalts colors and forms as an alternative means of expression that have assisted man in his process of understanding their own evolution.

 

The symbols, much older than writing and language, provided us with the understanding and knowledge of these different cultures that began, through the development of man, what we know today as civilization.
